Singularity
A new OS in the works at Microsoft ? Check out Singularity.
Will be interesting to see where they take this effort.
Some of the ideas sound interesting - though past efforts (from what I know of) have not been very sucessful in implementing them efficiently (like software level isolation of processes , etc).
Not sure to what extent they want to take the notion of 'dependability' ... should be interesting to keep tabs on this project.
Hope it does not turn out to be a OS on C# for C# ;-) - I mean , pushing the language concepts and semantics into the OS layer ...

Well, they gotta come up with some thing. Otherwise they can forget about their revenues from selling Ms-SQl server database!!

who the hell is complaining about mssql.. i get my bread and butter trying to make things work on sql2k :)
